The Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania is constituted in accordance with the article 62(1) of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania of 1977.
Additionally, the article 88 (1) of the Constitution creates a parliamentary secretariat with responsibility for it enabled Parliament to carry out its duties.
