Uongozi Institute was established in 2010 by the Tanzanian government to encourage and prepare Tanzanian and African leaders to provide joint and sustainable solutions.
The work was done through the provision of higher performance education, facilitating policy dialogue, practical research and technical support for public and private institutions.
Uongozi Institute Uses a holistic and reinforcing approach to competency development that recognizes that leadership abilities are developed through an ongoing, lifelong learning process.
The institutional monitoring and Evaluation Unit (M&E) supports the implementation and implementation of the Institutional Strategic Plan by coordinating planning processes, monitoring and analyzing performance, and advocating for performance culture.
Basing on department of research and policy, it plays an important role in increasing the institution’s philosophy of achieving sustainable development through competent leadership, the department promotes the integration of ideas and stimulates discussions on issues of socio-economic growth and sustainable development in Africa through Advanced Policy Dialogue, Action Research, Leadership archives, television interviews, Resource Centre (Library) and technical support.
