Tanzania health promotion support is the non government organization originally established under non government organization act No 24 of 2002 in 2011. Tanzania health promotion support works in collaboration with the ministry of social development gender siniors and special groups, regional and local government administrations, the ministry of health zanziZan and the ministry of international affairs with the purpose or aim of ensuring access to quality health care for all Tanzanians, through strengthening health systems for a best health care.
Tanzania health promotion support is implementing a five health project which is advancing treatment, admission and HIV prevention action. All this is funded by PEPFAR or CDC.
Through health measures Tanzania health promotion support provides client based, community based HIV prevention,care and treatment and also comprehensive services to general, critical and vulnerable residents in the coastal regions, kigoma and shinyanga, and it contribute to disease control in the country.
Based on the Tanzania government’s national strategy IV, The HIV health and HIV industry strategic plan and PEPFAR COP21 priorities, health actionadds the best practices and lessons learned from more than 10years of Tanzania health promotion support to implement HIV programs in Tanzania.
