The Norwegian refugee council (NRC) Tanzania is an independent humanitarian organization which is there to help people be forced to flee. It works in more than 31 countries to provide emergencies and long term support to millions of people each year.
The Norwegian refugee council stands up for people forced to flee defending their rights. The council’s global providers of expertise help to improve global and local prevention capabilities, prepare for, cope and recover from conflicts. The council also operates a local refugees surveillance center in Geneva (an international leader) in reporting and defending displaced people within their home countries.
Employment by the Norwegian refugee council may result in employment in or deployment to regions, offices or countries that may host significant health, safety,and security risks. The Norwegian refugee council takes this very serious and they have procedures in place to reduce known risks but will never be able to take off all risks.
