BRAC development Tanzania is the part of the leading development agency which started it’s activities in 2006 in Tanzania, focusing on topic areas of Agriculture, youth and women empowerment, food security and livelihoods.
In 2022 the Mastercard foundation in partnership with BRAC international will announce a program that will create a positive and measurable impact for 1.2 million girls and young women and 9.5 million people in seven countries in East and West Africa, including Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Sierra Leone, rwanda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. There is an emergency increase in supporting young girls and women living poor life which has been further aggravated by the global pandemic. Through this partnership the economic development techniques that can be provided in society to promote the organization and voice of young girls and women. They will have the opportunity to fulfill their aspirations livelihoods and also participate in advocacy issues.
BRAC international will also also implement an integrated and holistic model to address the diverse life cycle of a young woman living in poverty, ensuring she can safely transition from adolescence to adulthood.
